Film: Moonrise Kingdom

Over the summer, I joined some friends at our local independent theater, The Rialto, to catch an evening showing of Moonrise Kingdom, a film that at that point I knew nothing of.  It wasn’t until I was in my seat did I even realize it was a Wes Anderson film; to hear the line-up — Edward Norton (yay!), Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, and Jason Schwartzman, among others — was the butter on my popcorn.  If you haven’t seen it, you must.  It’s perfectly vintage and campy and sweet.  I loved it, quirky characters, fantastic set design, and all.

Inspired by the summery love story of Suzy and Sam, I put together this wedding day look with outdoorsy details, warm colors, and a little bit of charming eccentricity.
