Printing Process:

Thermography - The process involves heat that joins ink and a resin-like powder together. The fusion of the materials results in the appearance of raised letters. This printing process is fast-becoming the most popular choice for invitations, because of its value and quality of appearance. This is the most affordable print process if you are looking for classic, elegant "raised" printing.

Letterpress - Letterpress continues to be one of the hottest trends in stationery.  It's been around for hundreds and hundreds of years. Letterpress is an ancient printing technique that involves printing words or designs with ink while simultaneously debossing the image into thick, soft paper. The letterpress look is elegant, stylish, high-end and nothing short of stunning.

Engraving - The paper is placed on the press face down above the inked plate. It is then printed by pressure coming down on the back of the sheet while the front of the sheet meets with the plate. This "sandwich" effect creates the raised lettering and bruise on the back of the printed paper that are both classic features of engraver.

Foil Stamping -  Printing process that fuses foil to paper. A thin layer of foil is pressed between a piece of paper and a heated die. The image on the die cuts and heats the foil, binding it to the paper. You might be thinking of mylar ballons when you think of the word "foil".  But don't be fooled.  You can find many matte-ink colors such as white or cream, which produces a gorgeous invitation.

Mygatsby was one of the pioneers of the "stacked" enclosure cards!  We created these cards specifically so these accessory cards would complement your invitation stylishly yet with function.

Small Enclosure Card: 4.25"x4.50"

  • This card is typically used as a Reception Card, Ceremony Card, Gift Registry or At-Home Card, or for any "simple" information you might be trying to deliver to your guests.

RSVP card w/ envelope: 4.25"x5.50"

  • RSVP is derived from the French phrase, repondez s'il vous plait, meaning "respond if you please." It is a polite way of requesting a response to the invitation. It allows you to have an accurate guest count and can even help with allowing your guests to choose meal options, or any other information you will require in planning your reception.Mygatsby also nclude your name and return address printed on the envelope (or postcard  for our smaller invitations) to make it easier for invited guests to respond. Traditionally, the sender provides postage, to make it easier for your guests to respond.

Large Enclosure Card: 4.25"x6.50"

  • This card is typically used as a Directions Card, Accommodations Card, or any additional detailed information you might be trying to deliver to your guests.

Beautiful, but the ribbon is a bit of a pain
I really like these invitations; they're beautiful and elegant. I knew I would have to assemble them, so that was no big deal. The only problem (which you can see if you order the sample) is that there's no way to fasten the ribbon to the back of the card, and there's no way to keep the ribbon from fraying. This can result in a somewhat messy backside for the invitation. If you're dedicated, you can fix these problems with some glue/tape and Fray Check from your local craft store, but that's a lot of time and some extra money. I knew what I was getting into, ordered these anyway, and am happy with how they turned out, but make sure you order a sample so you know what the back of your invitations will look like. Im more than happy with my invitations .... Thanks so much Review by Amaya / (Posted on 8/12/2014)
I just ordered this invitations. They are absolutely beautiful, but I was very disappointed to see that i have to assemble the ribbon myself. After spending the money you spend on invites I felt that should have been included in the price. Review by CB / (Posted on 2/2/2014)
This invitation was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something simple yet elegant and this was the perfect. The font was perfect and easy to read. There are two things I would change however. The top single letter is not centered with many of the letters such as the H. It is more to the right of the area. That is one thing that almost prevented me from purchasing the invitation. Also, the ribbon did not come precut which would have been nice and there was no way to attach it to the card without gluing it, which made the back of the card not so elegant. These were minor issues but it should be addressed for future customers. Review by Ally / (Posted on 7/18/2013)
Elegant but Expensive
I ordered these invitations in the hot pink color. Don't get me wrong they are beautiful however, you would think after spending almost $500 on them that they would come assembled as you see in the picture, but no you have to pay an extra $125 for them to assemble the ribbon on the invitation. I said NO WAY! So I put them together myself. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be when I first took them out of the box. Just make sure that you order the sample so that you can see how to put the ribbon together. Overall I love the invitations but I just thought it was a little odd that they charge an extra $125 to put the ribbon on. Review by MacKenzie / (Posted on 4/6/2013)
