Printing Process:

Thermography - The process involves heat that joins ink and a resin-like powder together. The fusion of the materials results in the appearance of raised letters. This printing process is fast-becoming the most popular choice for invitations, because of its value and quality of appearance. This is the most affordable print process if you are looking for classic, elegant "raised" printing.

Letterpress - Letterpress continues to be one of the hottest trends in stationery.  It's been around for hundreds and hundreds of years. Letterpress is an ancient printing technique that involves printing words or designs with ink while simultaneously debossing the image into thick, soft paper. The letterpress look is elegant, stylish, high-end and nothing short of stunning.

Engraving - The paper is placed on the press face down above the inked plate. It is then printed by pressure coming down on the back of the sheet while the front of the sheet meets with the plate. This "sandwich" effect creates the raised lettering and bruise on the back of the printed paper that are both classic features of engraver.

Foil Stamping -  Printing process that fuses foil to paper. A thin layer of foil is pressed between a piece of paper and a heated die. The image on the die cuts and heats the foil, binding it to the paper. You might be thinking of mylar ballons when you think of the word "foil".  But don't be fooled.  You can find many matte-ink colors such as white or cream, which produces a gorgeous invitation.

Mygatsby was one of the pioneers of the "stacked" enclosure cards!  We created these cards specifically so these accessory cards would complement your invitation stylishly yet with function.

Small Enclosure Card: 4.25"x4.50"

  • This card is typically used as a Reception Card, Ceremony Card, Gift Registry or At-Home Card, or for any "simple" information you might be trying to deliver to your guests.

RSVP card w/ envelope: 4.25"x5.50"

  • RSVP is derived from the French phrase, repondez s'il vous plait, meaning "respond if you please." It is a polite way of requesting a response to the invitation. It allows you to have an accurate guest count and can even help with allowing your guests to choose meal options, or any other information you will require in planning your reception.Mygatsby also nclude your name and return address printed on the envelope (or postcard  for our smaller invitations) to make it easier for invited guests to respond. Traditionally, the sender provides postage, to make it easier for your guests to respond.

Large Enclosure Card: 4.25"x6.50"

  • This card is typically used as a Directions Card, Accommodations Card, or any additional detailed information you might be trying to deliver to your guests.

Additional Matching Accessories

The first ink color you choose is included in the price of your order (invitation, accessory cards and envelopes).  You may choose up to 2 ink colors per printed item (i.e. you can choose black & espresso for your invitation, and then gold & silver for your RSVP card, etc.).  If you use the same 2 ink colors throughout your entire invitation ensemble, you will only be charged once, across all of your printed pieces (i.e. if you choose red & gold for your invitation, RSVP card and outer envelope, you will only be charged once for that 2nd ink color).

Pricing for each additional ink color is as follows:

  • 1st ink:  No charge.  Included in price.
  • 2nd ink:  $30.00 one time charge.  This same ink color may be used across all of your invitation ensemble pieces.
  • 3rd ink and above: $20.00 one time charge for each additional ink color chosen.

*NOTE: If you have selected accessory cards, you may see 1 additional ink color charge in your total.  Don't worry, you can adjust these ink colors accordingly to your preferences when you start customizing your accessory cards.

The card is then slipped into a gorgeous diagonally cut folder of your choice of color and then secured with a satin ribbon that brings a bow tie to mind. Couples can choose their wedding colors to tie the invitation in with the rest of the theme, or they can choose a white folder and a black ribbon to represent the bride's dress and the groom's white tie on their special day. Absolutely Gorgeous Invitations
I fell in love with these invitations online. However, I was not sure what they would look like in person. When I got them in the mail I was soooo excited to see how beautiful they were in person. Everyone who saw them said how elegant and classy they were. I don't think I could have chosen better invitations. Review by Happy Lady / (Posted on 2/1/2016)

Great invitation
So beautiful and elegant. Great customer service and quick delivery. The only negative is the ribbon is not pre cut. This was disappointing. Review by Amber J / (Posted on 5/6/2014)
Great invitations
The paper and ribbon was what I was looking for. The paper was very thick and shiny. It was the right size and the color that we used was perfect. I have told everyone about the invitation. I sent them out and got a lot of WOWS!!. I will use this company again. Thanks for all of your help. Review by Little Bite / (Posted on 4/29/2014)
Excellent
We loved loved loved the invitations. The card stock was great, the colors were fantastic and the envelopes were fantastic with the black inside!!! We are just getting feedback now and everyone raves about how cute and unique they are! We are very happy and satisfied!! the only reason we gave them 4 stars versus 5 is the ribbon sent with the bows ( there was plenty also) frayed on the ends terribly and we had to buy new ribbon. Otherwise, thank you and we would order again!! Review by Teal / (Posted on 8/9/2013)
Absolutely Gorgeous! Non-Stop Compliments
I fell in love with these invites on Pinterest, and never looked back! Not only is the quality exceptional, but they arrived to Toronto, Canada for 10 business days. I chose not to have them assembled, and it only took my family a couple hours to put everything together. The only "con" was that I had to pay about $1.35 of extra postage (they are too big to fit in a conventional mail slot and too heavy).

The ribbon is high quality and I received more than necessary, the cardstock is heavy, and the raised text is shiny and beautiful.

The customer service I received over the phone when I had a shipping issue was exceptional! The woman was friendly, and offered me prompt assistance.

Overall, a fantastic experience with this fine company! I will be returning for all my Invitation needs :) Review by LoStro / (Posted on 6/20/2013)
Elegant and Gorgeous
We used this invitation for my daughter's wedding on 7-28-12. It's invitation is really beautiful and great quality. The postage was $1.10 to mail each one due to the size.We added clear adhesive crystals centered in the crest below the initial. We absolutely love this invitation! It's elegant and gorgeous. Really adds the "WOW" factor to a wedding. Review by Lori / (Posted on 8/21/2012)
So Totally Worth It. Black and Red wow!
This invitation lives up to expectations in person. But as has been said before, you will need to factor postage into your budget. Used it with directions, registry, RSVP card with red love stamped return envelope and added a map insert. Total postage cost was $1.95 which fortunately equals 3 wedding stamps exactly. So we used 3 $0.65 wedding cake stamps. Had the American Wedding assemble the cards. They did it well, although I was expecting more machine cut edges on the ribbon. The inner envelopes were a bit snug. Had to curve the invite while putting them in envelope. Also I added an invisible glue dot to keep the ribbon attached to the card in the back at all times..wanted to preserve the presentation. Lol Review by Princess Bala / (Posted on 7/29/2012)
Beautiful but make sure to factor in every thing including postage before purchase
I bought these invitations for my wedding in February (black and white theme). The card stock and raised lettering were so beautiful, they are exactly what I wanted. I knew they would cost more and I weighed that with my wedding budget and how much I cared about the invitations being perfect. I was willing to spend the money to get these wonderful invitations, and they were well worth it and look like a million bucks. However, what I did not know is that the card shape and weight and bump in the envelope due to the ribbon made it impossible to mail reguarly. They were considered a parcel and cost me 1.08 per card to mail. That was after going to three different post offices and getting three different prices, one being 1.71 per card. Just a note to say that these are truly beautiful cards, but make sure you consider every price (postage for invitation, postage for reply cards, and the price of this beautiful invitation) before purchasing these wedding invitations. Good Luck! Review by Amanda / (Posted on 1/26/2012)
