From Inspiration to Re-creation

If you are anything like us here at The Green Kangaroo, (aka The ‘Roo Crew), then Pinterest has probably become your go-to guide for party planning inspiration. Or, any inspiration for that matter! It has definitely “raised the bar.” Parties and baby showers have become more elaborate than ever!

Recently, my friends and I hosted a baby shower for our dear friend, Bradi. We scoured Pinterest for ideas and themes, finally landing on a shabby-chic “cute as a button” theme for Bradi and her soon-to-be baby girl.

The majority of our “pinspiration” was from adorable baby blogs such as Bump Smitten and On to Baby– both great resources when planning baby showers or birthday parties. Here are some of our inspirational finds….

The Baby Shower Button InspirationImages: white chocolate button suckers, an adorable mason jar beverage, a creative banner and cute as a button cupcakes!

We set out to re-create, while adding a few of our own unique touches. The re-creation was exactly what we’d hoped for…and more!

Lori, another fantastic blog! You all made this mother-to-be feel fabulously special with all your hard work and beautiful chevron and button inspired items. I am blessed to have such wonderful (and talented) friends. And thanks to the Green Kangaroo for having the darling chevron invites, signs, and thank-you notes which caused me to completely change the colors in my nursery! I was smitten :)
