I love it when a couple decides to bypass tradition and swap a formal wedding cake for other scrumptious treats like cupcakes… or pies… or macaroons… or mini creme brulees… or fruit tarts… or gelato… well, you get the idea!
It has become such a yummy trend to display wonderful mini confections; one that is surely satisfying many a sweet tooth! In fact, The Green Kangaroo’s head designer, Katie, and her hubby picked out two deliciously flavored cupcakes to feature at their wedding last month. (Don’t worry, you’ll be hearing more about Katie’s wedding real soon!)
Our friend Anne Flanagan and her team at Raleigh Cake Pops enjoy tasty bite-sized goodies too. They whip up tiny treats such as whoopie pies, French macarons, and, of course, cake pops! The first time we called upon Anne was to design some clown cake pops and, ‘Oh boy!,’ did they turned out great. I asked about the craziest pop she’s ever made and it came down to pink monkeys and a scuba diving couple for a wedding on Figure Eight Island.
If you’re considering various delightfully sugary guilty pleasures (and you should be!) for your big day, you’ll surely want a tempting way to present them.
