Coastal or Tropical Beach Wedding

We had a bride give us this scenario earlier this week:

“I am planning a beach wedding on the Northeast coast and want a beach theme – but not tropical. I would like to avoid overdoing the sea shell theme. When browsing your website, I really liked the sea oats motif you see in the coastal shimmer collection but I am on a tight budget and was wondering if you had this motif available in a more reasonably priced option than the couture invitations.”

Our answer:

“The sea oats motif you have mentioned can be used on any of our products (wedding invitations, menus, programs, place cards, etc.). Depending on your exact budget, you may want to consider purchasing our Signature Ava Invitation, our Allison invitation or our Abby invitation. You can request the sea oats motif on any of our invitations and can even write us a note in the Special Comments field about how you would like to see it incorporated (large, small, etc.). If you prefer to let our design team use their creativity, you can note that as well! You will also see on the product page that you can select the type of paper you would like to have: white matte, antique white matte, white shimmer, champagne shimmer, etc.”

We have had a number of brides who want their wedding invitations to reflect their “beachy” wedding, but want to show their guests that the event is not “tropical”. Our coastal theme – which may include any combination of motifs such as sea oats or sea grass, star fish, sand dollars, palm trees (think Charleston, SC) or even a lighthouse – is perfect for this occasion. See some examples below that will meet any budget:
