What is Assembly?

We offer assembly of most invitations that are layered or that have embellishments (for example the Versailles or Victoria Damask invitations). Assembly means that we will adhere each layer of the invitation together or tie any bows or ribbons. If you order a Pocket or Bloom, all of your layers will be mounted directly onto the Pocket or Bloom, unless otherwise specified. If you order an invitation with ribbon, your ribbon will be cut and attached to your invitation. Assembly does not include inserting your invitation and accessory cards directly into your envelopes.

We do not assemble any accessories such as seals, etc. If you are assembling yourself, we recommend a strong, thin double sided adhesive to attach the different layers of the invitations. Please DO NOT use any type of "wet" glue, since you don't want the cardstocks getting damp or wet which can lead to wrinkling and/or buckling, and in some cases we have found with rubber-cement glue, the actual letters falling off your invitation!

Ravishing Wedding Invitations

Product Review (submitted on February 29, 2012):
This company is AWFUL. I ordered these invitations ahead of time thinking I was on top of things, and also assembled them. These invites (which I loved till they turned out to be cheaply- although from here expensive, and poorly made) required an adhesive jewel and black cardstock to go on the backs of them. They came with a note that said "do not use your own glue for assembly", so I used their adhesive on the jewel backs which ended up ruining 75% of my 150 invitations. I stored all 150 the exact same way (flat in a box), and as I went through the pile to send them out, they were absolutely random in which ones the jewel's adhesive had run, (leaving the jewel down in the writing instead of centered under the names) so the jewel glue left a sticky residue all over my invites and when I tried to take the jewel off to put back in the place where it should go, it ripped the color off. There is obviously something wrong with the adhesive since I did EVERYTHING how the instructions said.

Upon speaking with "customer service" I had to call THEM back because they didn't contact me like they said they would, they only offered to make ME pay to reprint them and for the shipping, when it's clearly the quality of the invites. Why would I want to get MORE of these invites!!!???? I would rather what I send my guests not look like a Kindergartener's craft project. Thanks for wasting $350 of my wedding dollars American Wedding.
