What is Assembly?

We offer assembly of most invitations that are layered or that have embellishments (for example the Versailles or Victoria Damask invitations). Assembly means that we will adhere each layer of the invitation together or tie any bows or ribbons. If you order a Pocket or Bloom, all of your layers will be mounted directly onto the Pocket or Bloom, unless otherwise specified. If you order an invitation with ribbon, your ribbon will be cut and attached to your invitation. Assembly does not include inserting your invitation and accessory cards directly into your envelopes.

We do not assemble any accessories such as seals, etc. If you are assembling yourself, we recommend a strong, thin double sided adhesive to attach the different layers of the invitations. Please DO NOT use any type of "wet" glue, since you don't want the cardstocks getting damp or wet which can lead to wrinkling and/or buckling, and in some cases we have found with rubber-cement glue, the actual letters falling off your invitation!

good! Review by Em

The invitations turned out beautifully. The experience was stressful and a little difficult but the end result made my mother and me very happy. I did not use the default font. I recommend ordering a sample. I switched to a thicker font to have more of the letterpress effect. (Posted on 7/8/2015)

I ordered these invitations for my wedding with a plum outline. These are gorgeous quality. The letterpress writing is nice and neat. The paper was of good quality; I do wish it was slightly heavier but this is not flimsy paper at all. Very simple clean invitations. (Posted on 11/30/2014)
Beautiful, Economical Letterpress Invitation Set Review by rharr009

They were better in person than I was expecting! I had searched far and wide for letterpress invitations that wouldn't break the bank; the American Wedding was the best and most elegant option I could find. I was nervous about ordering them without a sample, but I'm so glad I did. I used one of the promitional sales that TAM has on occasion and saved almost $100, too!

The invitation itself is large - larger than I pictured, but so beautiful. I has black font and gold accents. The gold ink isn't foil - so don't expect shine or sparkle. But it is a rich color. I also added the gold foil envelope liner - another great idea, which really added that extra touch for a (relatively) minimal cost. I've gotten multiple compliments from guests on how beautiful they are.

Customer service was good - we had a mixup with the payment, which delayed my shipping. They overnighted the shipment once it was figured out, apologized with a handwritten note, and sent a gift card.

My only suggestion would be to offer a heavier / thicker lettra paper weight. While the paper certainly is thicker than regular paper, and of good quality, I'd have paid extra money to have a heavier paper. However, as an economical choice, this weight makes sense and still looks beautiful. I'd order them again! (Posted on 5/22/2014)
