- Very unhappy! Review by Andrea
-
I work in the property management field, so when I read to reviews I just think....well of all the people who order these and only 2 have something bad to say, they just must of had a bad experience and where unhappy. This is not at all the case with these invites, I really wish I would have read them and moved on. So I ordered these in a red with the black glossy backer, all font black, including the initial in the background (just like the picture) I paid the extra $50 to assemble them as well. (sounds pretty right) It was awful!! They came and they decided instead of the transparent initial like this L looks online they would change it to silver, the jewel is not centered at all in majority of these and you can see the glue where they where moved and tried to replace them. The black glossy backer was AWFUL! Not only was it torn in places so you could see white, it was bent in all the corners and frayed, the sample they sent has the back of the invites black, mine where sent white. This was not even close to the sample I loved. Lets just say I cried for 2 hours I was so heartbroken on how bad they looked. These invites would be very pretty if they where assembled and treated a little better when cutting them, and maybe a better cardstock for the back. My fiancé was equally as upset and got on the phone right away and called, I do have to say it was a huge relief that they offered to fix them and send them out or our money back. I chose the money back, I wanted classy looking invites, these are cheesy and cheap when completed. I was impressed with the customer service, and know others who love their invites from here, just not these ones. I would recommend you to read the reviews and believe what you read, I wish I would have. I am now on the hunt for new invites. (Posted on 2/14/13)Rating - :-( Review by GP129

I ordered these save the dates & they came out perfect! Then they upgraded their website which changed everything!!! The letter in the background was so small & the font was 2 sizes bigger & I did not change any of these. I even spoke to several ppl assuring me that it would look like the example bc i was extremely concerned after the website change. In addition to this the color is about 2 shades lighter & didn't even look close to my save the date. American Wedding corrected this & sent it again rush order (another 2+ wks)as it had to manually enter the information as the "old" version if you want it to look like the example. Anyway I received the new invitations & all of this was corrected, however I had paid the $50 extra to have this assembled & it was just awful. The sparkle was just thrown on there not even close to the center with super glue so when you try to move it, it scuffs the invitation making it look so cheap. This whole process was awful & they are extrememly difficult to get through to anyone. These invitations are beautiful if they were done correctly, but more than half of my invitations that were corrected are ruined bc of the sparkle... im so embarrased to even have to send these, but dont have the time to wait. Caution be warned, but if it does actually turn out right I would advise you assemble it yourself bc their expert assemblers are not worth the money & you will be able to do a better job TRUST ME!! This company is AWFUL. I ordered these invitations ahead of time thinking I was on top of things, and also assembled them. These invites (which I loved till they turned out to be cheaply- although from here expensive, and poorly made) required an adhesive jewel and black cardstock to go on the backs of them. They came with a note that said "do not use your own glue for assembly", so I used their adhesive on the jewel backs which ended up ruining 75% of my 150 invitations. I stored all 150 the exact same way (flat in a box), and as I went through the pile to send them out, they were absolutely random in which ones the jewel's adhesive had run, (leaving the jewel down in the writing instead of centered under the names) so the jewel glue left a sticky residue all over my invites and when I tried to take the jewel off to put back in the place where it should go, it ripped the color off. There is obviously something wrong with the adhesive since I did EVERYTHING how the instructions said.Rating
Upon speaking with "customer service" I had to call THEM back because they didn't contact me like they said they would, they only offered to make ME pay to reprint them and for the shipping, when it's clearly the quality of the invites. Why would I want to get MORE of these invites!!!???? I would rather what I send my guests not look like a Kindergartener's craft project. Thanks for wasting $350 of my wedding dollars American Wedding. (Posted on 2/29/12)
