What is Assembly?

We offer assembly of most invitations that are layered or that have embellishments (for example the Versailles or Victoria Damask invitations). Assembly means that we will adhere each layer of the invitation together or tie any bows or ribbons. If you order a Pocket or Bloom, all of your layers will be mounted directly onto the Pocket or Bloom, unless otherwise specified. If you order an invitation with ribbon, your ribbon will be cut and attached to your invitation. Assembly does not include inserting your invitation and accessory cards directly into your envelopes.

We do not assemble any accessories such as seals, etc. If you are assembling yourself, we recommend a strong, thin double sided adhesive to attach the different layers of the invitations. Please DO NOT use any type of "wet" glue, since you don't want the cardstocks getting damp or wet which can lead to wrinkling and/or buckling, and in some cases we have found with rubber-cement glue, the actual letters falling off your invitation!

Quality product, excellent customer service! Review by Molly and Kieran
We are so lucky to have found this place online. They almost always have a discount on their products, so that you are not paying an arm and a leg for wedding invites. We accidentally ordered too many, forgetting that each household received one instead of each guest, but I had placed the order already. I called customer service and they were able to change the quantity without a problem. We chose to build the invites to save money and it was so easy! Definitely will recommend this place to anyone getting married and looking for an affordable, yet beautiful invite. (Posted on 5/31/2015)
Simply Gorgeous Review by Pura
Received numerous complements on how elegant they were. Fairly easy but time consuming to assemble. Would recommend American Wedding and this particular invite to anyone! (Posted on 10/25/2012)
Just OK Review by Kristin B
Since these are my invitations I can't bring myself to rate them 2 stars, although, I feel that is more accurate than 3. The quality of these invitations is not what you would expect for $4.00+ per invitation. The printing of the text is beautiful; however, I have to say that is the only pro. I expected the beveled edge to be more defined than it actually is. The white paper and RSVP cards are not a heavy weight card stock like one would expect for such a formal invitation. Also, the black ink between the white part of the invitation and the color DOES bleed, and it is not even on the right and left sides of the invitation. The RSVP cards are folded, not flat as expected. The paper is thin and there is no purpose for a folded card when the text is on the outside. Lastly, the description on what components there are to assemble was lacking. I expected the invitation itself would be printed as one piece, but instead it is two and you get ONE sticky piece to adhere them together which takes away from a solid invitation. Also, I expected pre-made ribbons to just slide on, but what I received were 2 rolls of ribbon to cut and tie myself. I would not have paid $50 to have them assembled either when the one invitation I did receive assembled as an example was not centered and looked sloppy. (Posted on 9/10/2012)
