Printing Process:

Thermography - The process involves heat that joins ink and a resin-like powder together. The fusion of the materials results in the appearance of raised letters. This printing process is fast-becoming the most popular choice for invitations, because of its value and quality of appearance. This is the most affordable print process if you are looking for classic, elegant "raised" printing.

Letterpress - Letterpress continues to be one of the hottest trends in stationery.  It's been around for hundreds and hundreds of years. Letterpress is an ancient printing technique that involves printing words or designs with ink while simultaneously debossing the image into thick, soft paper. The letterpress look is elegant, stylish, high-end and nothing short of stunning.

Engraving - The paper is placed on the press face down above the inked plate. It is then printed by pressure coming down on the back of the sheet while the front of the sheet meets with the plate. This "sandwich" effect creates the raised lettering and bruise on the back of the printed paper that are both classic features of engraver.

Foil Stamping -  Printing process that fuses foil to paper. A thin layer of foil is pressed between a piece of paper and a heated die. The image on the die cuts and heats the foil, binding it to the paper. You might be thinking of mylar ballons when you think of the word "foil".  But don't be fooled.  You can find many matte-ink colors such as white or cream, which produces a gorgeous invitation.

All mix and match invitations are ordered in increments of 25.

Mygatsby was one of the pioneers of the "stacked" enclosure cards!  We created these cards specifically so these accessory cards would complement your invitation stylishly yet with function.

Small Enclosure Card: 4.25"x4.50"

  • This card is typically used as a Reception Card, Ceremony Card, Gift Registry or At-Home Card, or for any "simple" information you might be trying to deliver to your guests.

RSVP card w/ envelope: 4.25"x5.50"

  • RSVP is derived from the French phrase, repondez s'il vous plait, meaning "respond if you please." It is a polite way of requesting a response to the invitation. It allows you to have an accurate guest count and can even help with allowing your guests to choose meal options, or any other information you will require in planning your reception.Mygatsby also nclude your name and return address printed on the envelope (or postcard  for our smaller invitations) to make it easier for invited guests to respond. Traditionally, the sender provides postage, to make it easier for your guests to respond.

Large Enclosure Card: 4.25"x6.50"

  • This card is typically used as a Directions Card, Accommodations Card, or any additional detailed information you might be trying to deliver to your guests.

Additional Matching Accessories

The first ink color you choose is included in the price of your order (invitation, accessory cards and envelopes).  You may choose up to 2 ink colors per printed item (i.e. you can choose black & espresso for your invitation, and then gold & silver for your RSVP card, etc.).  If you use the same 2 ink colors throughout your entire invitation ensemble, you will only be charged once, across all of your printed pieces (i.e. if you choose red & gold for your invitation, RSVP card and outer envelope, you will only be charged once for that 2nd ink color).

Pricing for each additional ink color is as follows:

  • 1st ink:  No charge.  Included in price.
  • 2nd ink:  $30.00 one time charge.  This same ink color may be used across all of your invitation ensemble pieces.
  • 3rd ink and above: $20.00 one time charge for each additional ink color chosen.

*NOTE: If you have selected accessory cards, you may see 1 additional ink color charge in your total.  Don't worry, you can adjust these ink colors accordingly to your preferences when you start customizing your accessory cards.

Company was recommended by a friend. Invitations turned out just as was expected if not better! They were very easy to make with all that I needed to make them supplied by the company. They even supplied a few extra in case of mistakes ( I'm assuming). Completely satisfied: great price, great quality! Definitely recommending them to friends in the future : ) (Posted on 7/17/2014)

I ordered these and put them together myself. Comes with adhesive tabs and a few extra envelopes (good thing because I messed a few up along the way!)

I was going for simple and elegant. Good choices if you want different colors! Paper is thick and nice quality. I got mine 40% off. Good quality for the money I paid. Envelopes are included at no extra charge! (Posted on 2/12/2014)

Beautiful and Modern Review by cmill

I love our invitations. I was able to do so much customization that a lot of other sites didn't allow and there were several options. I do wish that I had more options for the backing, but I am still very pleased with the way ours turned out. It was the perfect mix of modern and elegance that I was looking for. (Posted on 1/2/2014)

I was very happy with these invitations, I got the exact color that is shown in the sample and love them!! I assembled the invitations myself and didn't have any problems, I've already sent them out and have gotten several compliments on them already! The company is very easy to work with, at least in my experience. (Posted on 8/7/2013)
very nice invitations Review by Chris

I ordered these invitations even after reading the not so favorable reviews and I'm so glad I did, they are exactly what I wanted, I also ordered the thanks you cards, menu cards, and the seating place cards.
Everything turned out great!! I stayed with the black and purple that is shown on the sample invitation and am very happy with this purchase. The one thing I followed the other reviewers advice on was to not pay to have the invitations assembled, I did them myself and didn't have any trouble.

Very Happy!! Review by Chris

I ordered these invitations even after reading the not so favorable reviews that went along with them. I liked the style and color so I Just ordered the exact same color and font style as was shown on the sample, and I couldn't be happier!! One thing that i did take from the other reviews was to not pay the extra to have the invitations assembled, so I have yet to put them together, but they look great, and I ordered the matching thank you cards, menu cards , and seating cards which I am also very pleased with!! I bought some micro glue dots from a craft store which i might try to use to put the crystal in place since everyone seems to not like the glue adhesive that they give you... (Posted on 7/1/2013)
Very unhappy! Review by Andrea

I work in the property management field, so when I read to reviews I just think....well of all the people who order these and only 2 have something bad to say, they just must of had a bad experience and where unhappy. This is not at all the case with these invites, I really wish I would have read them and moved on. So I ordered these in a red with the black glossy backer, all font black, including the initial in the background (just like the picture) I paid the extra $50 to assemble them as well. (sounds pretty right) It was awful!! They came and they decided instead of the transparent initial like this L looks online they would change it to silver, the jewel is not centered at all in majority of these and you can see the glue where they where moved and tried to replace them. The black glossy backer was AWFUL! Not only was it torn in places so you could see white, it was bent in all the corners and frayed, the sample they sent has the back of the invites black, mine where sent white. This was not even close to the sample I loved. Lets just say I cried for 2 hours I was so heartbroken on how bad they looked. These invites would be very pretty if they where assembled and treated a little better when cutting them, and maybe a better cardstock for the back. My fiancé was equally as upset and got on the phone right away and called, I do have to say it was a huge relief that they offered to fix them and send them out or our money back. I chose the money back, I wanted classy looking invites, these are cheesy and cheap when completed. I was impressed with the customer service, and know others who love their invites from here, just not these ones. I would recommend you to read the reviews and believe what you read, I wish I would have. I am now on the hunt for new invites. (Posted on 2/14/2013)

I ordered these save the dates & they came out perfect! Then they upgraded their website which changed everything!!! The letter in the background was so small & the font was 2 sizes bigger & I did not change any of these. I even spoke to several ppl assuring me that it would look like the example bc i was extremely concerned after the website change. In addition to this the color is about 2 shades lighter & didn't even look close to my save the date. American Wedding corrected this & sent it again rush order (another 2+ wks)as it had to manually enter the information as the "old" version if you want it to look like the example. Anyway I received the new invitations & all of this was corrected, however I had paid the $50 extra to have this assembled & it was just awful. The sparkle was just thrown on there not even close to the center with super glue so when you try to move it, it scuffs the invitation making it look so cheap. This whole process was awful & they are extrememly difficult to get through to anyone. These invitations are beautiful if they were done correctly, but more than half of my invitations that were corrected are ruined bc of the sparkle... im so embarrased to even have to send these, but dont have the time to wait. Caution be warned, but if it does actually turn out right I would advise you assemble it yourself bc their expert assemblers are not worth the money & you will be able to do a better job TRUST ME!! NOT recommended Review by grace11

This company is AWFUL. I ordered these invitations ahead of time thinking I was on top of things, and also assembled them. These invites (which I loved till they turned out to be cheaply- although from here expensive, and poorly made) required an adhesive jewel and black cardstock to go on the backs of them. They came with a note that said "do not use your own glue for assembly", so I used their adhesive on the jewel backs which ended up ruining 75% of my 150 invitations. I stored all 150 the exact same way (flat in a box), and as I went through the pile to send them out, they were absolutely random in which ones the jewel's adhesive had run, (leaving the jewel down in the writing instead of centered under the names) so the jewel glue left a sticky residue all over my invites and when I tried to take the jewel off to put back in the place where it should go, it ripped the color off. There is obviously something wrong with the adhesive since I did EVERYTHING how the instructions said.

Upon speaking with "customer service" I had to call THEM back because they didn't contact me like they said they would, they only offered to make ME pay to reprint them and for the shipping, when it's clearly the quality of the invites. Why would I want to get MORE of these invites!!!???? I would rather what I send my guests not look like a Kindergartener's craft project. Thanks for wasting $350 of my wedding dollars American Wedding. (Posted on 2/29/2012)
