Tips for taking a great photo for your wedding invitations
1. Take them as soon as possible! Don't run the risk of not liking them but not having the time to "re-shoot"!
2. Consider hiring a professional. Ask family and friends if they would refer you to any professional photographers. If not, simply browse the Internet or local directories and ask to see examples of photographers work. If you already have a wedding photographer, give them a call to see if you can add an engagement photo to your package. This is also a great opportunity to get to know your photographer before the big day! If all else fails, ask a friend to snap some shots of the two of you!
3. Be natural. Or not. Candids are equally as charming as posed pics. You don't have to wear matching clothes, but you should think about wearing colors that complement each other and stand out from whatever background you choose.
4. You might already have it! Do you have a recent picture you really love? Vacation pictures, engagement pictures, even candids can make great inserts for your invitations…and since you'll only have to make copies you're one step ahead!
5. Your photo should adhere to the following specifications before upload:
o Max file size = 2 MB
o Minimum resolution = 300 dpi
o File types accepted: JPG, GIF, PNG, PSD, PDF, EPS, and TIFF
