Rehearsal Dinner Invitation Wording

While not all couples choose to purchase a rehearsal dinner invitation, some rehearsals really do call for one. For the couple that is having a very formal and traditional wedding an invitation inviting guests to the rehearsal dinner is almost a must.

The couple whom has a large amount of out of town guests and attendants will likely want to incorporate an invitation to the rehearsal dinner as well.

When selecting the rehearsal dinner invitation there are a few things to remember. First of all, this card is not to take away from the actual wedding invitation. You may choose a simple traditional sized invitation to be sent out prior to the wedding invitation such as item AV141. Or maybe you would like to order the coordinating multi-purpose card to your invitation, and include it along with the invitation for the guests whom need one.

When wording the rehearsal dinner cards, there are not a lot of proper do’s and don’ts; however, we do have some guidelines for you.

On the rehearsal cards just like on an invitation card, try to spell everything out. Also, leave out extra words to many “at’s” can make things sound funny and drawn out.

Wording is also dependent upon who is hosting the event. While it is typically the groom’s parents, sometimes the couple or the bride’s parents host this event. So be sure to word accordingly.
