Kissable Lips

We have secrets for you on how to score the perfect kissable pout!

You will want to get your lips in tip top shape for this important day. Not just for the big kiss but, also because everyone wants to kiss the bride!

Just like you choose to treat and prep your skin for the big day, you’ll want to treat your lips as well. You can exfoliate your lips and reveal the fresh beautiful skin hiding underneath the dry chapped skin just like you would with the rest of your body.

There are plenty of exfoliating balms out there made to be rubbed on your lips in an effort to break away all the dead skin. There are a variety of different ones with fruit extracts, sugars, and more. There also different grades of graininess, they can go from being super textured and rough, to very smooth and thick.

Make sure that your skin is moist when you apply the cream and follow the directions thoroughly. Most common lip treatments require you to sit for a few minutes with the cream on your lips. For most treatments you will take a warm washcloth to your skin once your allotted time has passed and gently rub your lips to remove the excess dead skin.

Keep up with your lip treatments in the weeks leading up to your wedding. Definitely do not use a lip treatment the day of or before the wedding just incase you become irritated.

As always do not try any new products close to the wedding date. You never know what you might develop a reaction to. Give yourself a good 14-21 day advance to become used to your product.

You don’t have to use lip polishing products if you don’t want to. Many people choose just to use a warm washcloth and water, or others choose to use your toothbrush and just gently rub your lips with that.

After removing all the dead skin, remember to regularly moisturize. Moisturizers that are based with beeswax are very popular in a variety of brand names and price ranges. Always use lip moisturizers that contain an SPF.
